As there was no cadmium part available in the 2019 iGEM kit it was necessary to make our own part in order to test the bioassay built by the hardware team. This part will work as a prototype for our final cadmium detector part.

The work that has been done so far
The design of the plasmid contains sections from other parts that were available in the iGEM website. In order to obtain the plasmid it is required restriction reactions and purifications to isolate the sections that are needed and then, ligate them to other sections to form the desire part.
